5 free apps (applications) entrepreneurs should have on their smartphone
We all spend a lot of time on our smartphone: in the train, while walking, while eating or while waiting someone.
If you are reading this article, I am pretty certain your brain is set a bit like mine: every minute needs to be used for something useful, something where you have the feeling after that you achieved something. I have on my smartphone some apps that help me to be productive even on moments where it could be difficult to be. For example when you are in the cinema and you are waiting the end of the adverts. Have a loo, they could help you as well:
Hootsuite
If you are using Twitter, this is definitely the app you need to have (in addition of Twitter). It is free and gives you a lot of features to manage your twitter account in the most efficient way. What I find the most useful is to schedule your tweets. Indeed you have often a lot to say but those things need to be said at the right time to the right audience to be effective. By scheduling your tweets, you have time to think about them and organise them.
You can also see all the tweets where you are mentioned. it is useful when you need to identify the ones you need to answer to.
Smartup
Smartup is a good app if you are in the train or in the cinema (waiting your movie to start) and you want to read something useful. I love reading success stories, case studies, ... They are inspiring, you learn a lot and it helps your creativity and this app is great for that. Smartup also proposes some simulation exercises where you basically have to run a business. You are given a target and you have to set the products price, the marketing mix or to organise the social media budget month by month in order to reach that target. They are definitely a good exercise and a great way to learn! Definitely my favorite content app.
Crowdfire
This is also a tool you need to have if you use Twitter. We are all curious about seeing who is unfollowing us, and who are the new followers. This app is free and very well designed, with no add that pollute your time. I tried a lot of tools in order to understand my Twitter followers and this one is definitely the best.
Direct Marketing
This app gives you access to the Direct Marketing magasine. Another app that provides you great content but specialised in Marketing (as the name states it :D). Not much to say. I love it because the content is great, easy to read on my iphone and not too long not to short.
Eventbrite
If you live in a big city like Paris or London, you have every day events that may help you in your business venture. And Eventbrite is the best app to know about those events and book your ticket. I love the app because it makes the booking very easy. Definitely the tool that will help you to build an effective network.
